I want to buy TextMate but I want to obtain a new release, because I don't want to pay now for the 1.5.9 version and in 2 months pay again for an update.

How many remember the “TextMate 2 will be Leopard only announcement” and thinking “Oh, man. I have to wait until Leopard comes out in October 2007? That’s forever!” haha :)
I have faith that it will arrive one day, though. Maybe we should makes some t-shirts that say “TextMate 2. I BELIEVE.”

I would totally buy one. I'd probably even buy several for my whole team here at the office. If Allan doesn't have time to set up a café press store (and he SHOULDN'T), any volunteers from the community? I'd volunteer but have never done it before, and you really don't want me doing your T-shirt design, anyway.
Proceeds go back to the "Save TM2" fund.

I'm rapidly losing faith. I once believed in Duke Nukem Forever, too...
What I should do is invest a huge amount of time and effort in developing bundles for TM1. That would virtually guarantee a quick release of TM2, rendering all that work obsolete. :-)
