hello:)
I would like to use Quick Look with .tex , .sty , .cls files created with TextMate but all the hacks found on the net or in the list don't work.
Do you know a good way to make this ?
Best Regards
Alain
Alain,
I did not have good luck with modifying the plist files for TextMate or TeXShop either. However I installed Ciaran's excellent Quicklook plugin, and modified the plist file for the plugin to include org.tug.tex. Complete instructions are on his blog. http://ciaranwal.sh/
Make sure that you restart Finder, or run qlmanage -r from the command line. I think glmanage is the most reliable way to make sure things work.

For new threads USE THIS: textmate@lists.macromates.com (threading gets destroyed and the universe will collapse if you don't) http://lists.macromates.com/mailman/listinfo/textmate

I make this but without success
qlmanage -p /Users/ego/Boulot/SANDBOX/essai.tex gives always :
Content type UTI: org.tug.tex. Generator used: None

Don't know if this helps.
For TextMate, when I modified the info.plist file the hack worked immediately. On the other hand, when I modified the info.plist file of TeXshop, no luck. After some fumbling I found a solution, which does not mean I found the problem: both TeXshop and iTeXMac were installed on my mac, both claiming for ownership of tex files. I zipped my copy of iTeXMac and now quicklook recognizes and previews tex files.
Is this interpretation correct? I mean, two programs registering the same filetype can lead to conflict?

I think it's a possibilty... I remove TexShop and TeX.mdimporter and now I can use QuickLook when when I modified the info.plist file of TextMate.
The only problem with .tex files is that QuickLook seems to work with Mac-Roman and not with utf8
