With so many great plugins now available, is there a way to change the size of the Preferences window? In defaults for com.macromates.textmate, I see window sizes for every other window in TextMate, but only OakPreferencesWindowLeftTop.

The preferences window auto-sizes to the page you switch to, where e.g. the Fonts & Colors page does support resizing, the others don’t because the layouts on those pages are “fixed”, so there would be no advantage of resizing them (just a lot of whitespace).

I could be wrong, since I'm not the original poster, but I think maybe the question refers to the fact that some plugins install a preference page, and that maybe too many of those mean the icons at the top start to fall of the edge of the window. So, resizing the window horizontally would allow all of the icons to be visible. Not sure, but that's how I originally read the question.

Ah, I see. Well, given the fixed layout of the various pages, this is diificult to accommodate (w/o ugly extra whitespace), but I can see the problem…
