Total bummer, 'cause that means I'll have to wait *at least* that long for TM2.
It's what's best right? Right? RIGHT? Oh god... (breathe oliver breathe)

hehe, it seems to be a shared sentiment:

Good things come to those who wait...
Anyway, it will give Allan more time to work on TM2.
Best, Mark

Given the long list of known problems in Leopard we keep hearing about, anything released in Spring would have been rushed, so I am kind of glad they pushed it.

That is where it hurts though. There are some features I am really hoping for that I miss dearly every day (hour/minute):
- Word characters should be definable per scope (or at least per language) rather than application-wide - Double-click on (){}[] to select that scope - Double-click-extend-selection behavior
I know I have been harping on those, but I think they are biggies for a professional editor, don't seem that hard to implement and I have been waiting a year and a half already...
That being said I love TM, just so you don't get me wrong!

So why are you here and not back with your vi/emacs friends? ;-)
Not sure why this is a big deal to anyone... I mean, it wasn't 6 years ago the last time our OS was updated. 10.4 is perfectly fine.
I wasn't around for 10.0 -> 10.3 (was 8/9 days) but I recall people bitching about bugs. Now it's generally the same people bitching for the 3 month delay.
It's a short period. We'll get a full taste in June and then we will all praise the upcoming release. As long as Apple doesn't push it back farther, what's the deal? I'd rather them take the 3 extra months and save me the stress of OS bugs.

As long as they don't make us wait five years and drop all of the cool neat features they promised I'll still be smiling.

Or.... maybe this will give TextMate a chance to be production ready on Leopard when Leopard ships? ... and all of us with Leopard seeds can beta test?!???
