When I use Find In Project, the Replace and Replace & Find buttons are now always grayed out. So that feature is completely unavailable to me.
Am I doing something wrong? Has something changed in TextMate regarding this? Anyone else having this problem.
You have to do the Find All first. Now switch to the Replace field and enter some text. The Replace button comes to life. m.

That's not working for me. What version of macOS are you on Matt? I'm on the latest, 10.13.2, and I'm noticing more and more crashes and problems lately in applications other than TextMate. Perhaps there is a change in 10.13.2 that prevents those buttons from becoming active.
I'm able to do Find All, and when I enter text in the Replace box I see that text being (potentially) replaced in the displayed search results, and the Replace All button is active. But Replace and Replace & Find are always grayed out.
I've had to resort to a slow process like clicking on each result and doing a paste for each one that I want to replace. Kind of a drag when I need it.

Ah. Okay, but those are applicable to an in-document find operation, where you find one at a time and then replace or replace-and-find-the next. In the _global_ find, you first Find All, and then you either Replace All, or else you use the checkboxes to select among the Find All results and then Replace Selected.

Sounds like either I'm mis-remembering how it used to work (though I'm fairly certain) or the functionality has changed. Ticking a bunch of checkboxes I find to be a hassle, plus I can't see the context of each line.
IIRC the way it used to work is similar to Replace & Find within a document, except that when there are no more in the current doc, it will automatically open the next doc in the list. Worked really well and fast, although you have to kind of be aware of the silent document switch happening (can sometimes be confusing if you don't notice).

In your first message you said you were talking about global find in _project_. It sounds like what you want is global find (find all) in _document_. That works the way you seem to expect. m.

The behavior changed back in v2.0-beta.12.13. However, you can still use the keyboard shortcuts ⌘G (Find Next) and ⌥⌘G (Replace) to reproduce the prior behavior.
