Hi,
Is there any support for setting a background image in the editor window? Or any plans to add this? I've found the transparency support but I'm not that fussed about seeing my other windows, I'd rather just see a tinted image.

There is no such support -- I’ll take note of the request. It might be quite easy to do as a hidden feature, but I doubt I’ll add any UI for setting the background image ;)

Yes! That would be totally awesome. Maybe even a different image depending on the theme.
I've tried to hack the nibs to make it work, no good. thomas Aylott — subtleGradient — CrazyEgg — sixteenColors

Nah. We need background movies! Static images are so boring! And we need transparency! Maybe just let the background be a Quartz Composer composition! A different one for each scope of course!
(or we could, you know, just stick to colors, and all be happy)

That we really need is gradients. Subtle ones of course ;)

Now we're talking! Coding on top of a myspace page must be perfect. Slideshows, powerpoint presentations and flash support would be great too!

I'd quite like to see support for having a TM document as my background. That way I can look at my favourite piece of code while I'm working. That TM document needs to have a background too, of course. I suggest a TM document, that way I can look at my work while I'm looking at my favourite piece of code.

I want this email as my background...hours of entertainment and in only two sentences...
Someone could do this today as a plugin. Use a theme with a completely transparent background. Just add a window behind each window, set it as a child window ordered-behind. Catch resize notifications for the main window to keep the two in sync. Should work.
