No recent system changes. I upgraded to Snow Leopard weeks ago.
This morning I tried to use the Ack in Project cmd-shift-A command which has worked perfectly til now.
I just get the blank results window and a spinner. The dialog box won't come up at all.
I reinstalled the bundle from github, restarted textmate, and still the same thing.
Any ideas?
A little more info maybe.
I'm getting this message in the console when TextMate starts
10/19/09 11:31:55 AM TextMate[1045] loadPlugIn: Dialog plug-in with same bundle identifier (com.macromates.dialog_plug-in) already loaded
I notice that this message seems to have come up for other folks in different contexts, blogging bundle, edit in textmate... and never seems to have a resolution.
This is really annoying since Ack in Project is one of my most used commands, and Find in Project is uselessly slow.

Curiouser and curiouser
So I just issued cmd-shift-F to bring up find in project, and canceled.
Now cmd-shift-A brings up the Ack in project dialog.
Weird!
Well that seems to have been a one time occurrence.
I've got no idea why Ack in project has stopped working for me.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

Hi Rick,
are you using my version of AIP or is it based off someone else's fork?
There's something very strange going on that I just can't reproduce - see:
https://protocool.lighthouseapp.com/projects/15530/tickets/18-snow-leopard-c...
I merged in a change that (apparently) addressed the issue but I've seen subsequent complaints that it still has problems.
I'm at a bit of a loss because AIP works flawlessly for me.

Hi Rick,
when the output window is just sitting there with a spinner, is the tm_dialog process running? Also, once you dismiss the AIP output window, does the tm_dialog process remain?
This is all very odd...

It looks like it was an interaction with RVM. I set TM_RUBY to point to /usr/bin/ruby and it seems to work again.
