ok, so after reviewing this again, I can't say all of the manually added symlinks
don't display, its actually just folders with symlinks in them, sorry.
Because some projects are much more practical to include a few scattered folders into one
working window(this has been discussed many times before in the debate about the TM1
projects functionality, so I won't get into details as to why this is helpful in some
cases, as I'm pretty sure you're tired of hearing it).
So really what it seems is that it doesn't list folders, just symlinks at the root of
the favorites folder.

I only see the ones added via TM2 menu controls.
All the menu does is add a symlink.
What are “steps to reproduce” for when this fails for you?
