Don't want to complain or anything but it seems to me like a legitimate question : is TextMate still in development ? Apart from v. 2.0, it seems like there is no 1.x update anymore…

There are occasional 1.x bugfix releases, last was in April.
TM2 should probably be listed next to Duke Nukem Forever...

TM2 is being actively developed (November 23, 2008).
