Thanks Carpii, your link helped me figure out the problem (although not sure I understand the nuance to it). I found that "Pristine Copy" directory was where double clicking bundles got installed to but there was a bundle of the same name (but truncated to 1k) in the following directory:

Application Support → Avian → Bundles

I removed this file and it's all working again.

I deleted the existing bundle from within Textmate and then downloaded and installed the latest bundle by double clicking the bundle file/package. Kinda related to this question, I wonder what would be involved in moving all textmate bundles and settings to DropBox?

I'd really like to just have my macbook and iMac synced up, but in the past Ive tried this and ran into the stale BundleIndex issue.
