Hi, Firstly, Allan et al, thank you for everything you do. We’ve been using TextMate 1 and then 2 for years at my company.
Recently a bug has cropped up in the Find in Files list, for example:
I haven’t worked out what causes it, but parts of the previous searches are left in the list and overlay subsequent searches. A restart clears it obviously, but nothing else - the fragments just linger and accumulate making it gradually more and more difficult to see the results.
I’m on 2.0.19 on Big Sur. I’m guessing that the bug started occurring around version 2.0.16. There seem to have been quite a few changes in the Find dialog in version 2.0.16.
Regards, Jonathan.

I noticed this myself when I first tested on Big Sur, the problem can also be seen in the file browser if you switch to “SCM Status”.
The issue appears to be with using group rows in table views on Big Sur. I had hoped Apple would fix it, but I will test with latest Big Sur release, and if the problem persists, I guess I will just have to not use group rows on Big Sur, this will make the rows look like regular rows, but I guess better than the current issue.

What version of Big Sur?
I observed the issue you describe the first time I tested Big Sur, but later updates do not show the issue, however, only first group row has a proper border, so it still doesn’t look correct, but I do not get the piling up of row views with Big Sur 11.2.3.
I’ve still got the problem with 11.2.2. I will upgrade to 11.2.3 when I get a chance and check again…
Thanks, Jonathan

Hi Allan, I have upgraded to 11.2.3 and the problem in the Find In Files list still occurs, although maybe less frequently:
Thanks, Jonathan.

I have disabled floating group rows in v2.0.22 which is currently available as a test build (hold option when selecting Check for Update in main menu or Preferences → Software Update).
Please let me know if the problem persists with this change.
This build is not notarized because Apple wants me to sign some new terms of agreements, but after having spent 10 minutes trying to figure out where to sign this agrement, I gave up and disabled notarization.
Hi Allan, v2.0.22 does appear to have fixed the display bug in the Find In Files list. Thanks.
I have noticed a new bug though: Cmd+Z undoes the last change, but it also jumps the cursor back to some other point in the file, which I think is the point where it was when I committed the last change to Subversion. Previously it put the cursor where the previous change was, ready to undo that or continue typing there.
Cheers, Jonathan.
