bibtex in textmate problem and tentative solution

Hi! I had the same problem as described in a post from Sebastian on 2007-11-11 (http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.editors.textmate.general/ 23160). Here is my error output: Running bibtex on Exjobb (ny).tex Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Users/peeter/Peeterprogram/ TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Bundles/Latex.tmbundle/Support/bin/ texMate.py", line 457, in texStatus, isFatal, numErrs, numWarns = run_bibtex(texfile=fileName) File "/Users/peeter/Peeterprogram/ TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Bundles/Latex.tmbundle/Support/bin/ texMate.py", line 71, in run_bibtex return stat,fatal,err,warn UnboundLocalError: local variable 'stat' referenced before assignment It seems that it had to do with the parentheses in my filename messing up the regexes. My solution was to change lines 71 and 72 in Textmate.app/Contents/ SharedSupport/Bundles/Latex.tmbundle/Support/bin/texMate.py as follows: # auxfiles = [f for f in os.listdir('.') if re.search('.aux $',f) > 0] # auxfiles = [f for f in auxfiles if re.match(r'('+ basename + r'\.aux|bu\d+\.aux)',f)] auxfiles = [f for f in os.listdir('.') if re.search('.aux$',f) > 0 and (f.startswith(basename) or re.match(r'bu\d+\.aux', f))] This works, at least for me. TextMate hangs on large files...

I have just discovered TextMate, and am so far very happy with it, but I think I just hit a glitch... I am trying to edit a SQL load file that is about 5M, which shouldn't be a problem. However, some of the lines are very long, as a complete website contents is in a single line. I have no idea how many characters are in this line, but I suspect about 2M worth. Anyway, TextMate hangs while trying to work with this file. I can't do much at all. Even a simple act of scrolling hangs. TextEdit does a reasonably good job with the file though... Actually, I don't think it is hanging, as it eventually responds (about 30 seconds later), but it is so slow that it is completely unusable. Is this a known problem? For me, it is weird files like this that we need an editor like TextMate to be able to easily handle. Thanks... Jim Leask

How to clear flashlog.txt on compile?

Sorting in Project Drawer

Hey everyone, Recent TextMate convert here and boy do I love it - trial expiring within the week, so will be a paying customer from then on. ;) Have a question, though, with regards to sorting in the Project Drawer. Is it possible to have entries sorted by type, and only then by name? I'd like to keep directories together. Any chance for non-single character undo in TM?

It was supposed to be nice weather for those brilliant May 1st Labour Day, but it's not, barbecue gonna be tommorow... so I'm writing here about my favorite text editor :> I was wondering if I'm missing some hidden TM option to enable some more sophisticated undos in TM, and I found this: http://nslog.com/2006/11/08/textmates_undo So, are some non-single character undos on the horizon of TM? I'm aware it is all about TM 2.0 will relay on NSTextView that does it for free, but how about 1.x? Something odd with iClip

Hi I use the iClip multiple clipboard thingmy. If I copy some text to iClip from outside TextMate then switch to TextMate the copied text in iClip duplicates. I've never seen this with any other app. Could be something odd about iClip of course :) Patrick

Feature request: Have Header/Source and Go To File honor directories

Hi Allan and friends, I have a source tree structure like this: www/ site/ index.tcl, .adp one.tcl, .adp edit.tcl, .adp item/ index.tcl, .adp one.tcl, .adp edit.tcl, .adp The fact that files are named the same, but in different directories: - Confuses both the Cmd-Opt-Up "Go to Header/Source" feature, which will gladly find www/item/one.adp when I'm editing www/site/one.tcl. It would be good if it would prefer the file in the current directory when one exists. Otherwise, it's a great feature. - Similarly, when using Cmd-T "Go to file", which I use almost exclusively to open up new files now, it would be great if I could write "itemonetcl" to get item/one.tcl, as opposed to site/one.tcl. Currently, it doesn't take the path into account at all. I can see some downsides to changing current behavior, too, particularly with the Go to file feature. But let me know what you think. /Lars

Searching for Objective-C documentation

The current Documentation for Word / Selection and Documentation for Selector in the Objective-C bundle doesn't find a many of the classes and selectors for lots of things now in Leopard (CAAnimation, for example) or in the iPhone SDK. Having looked at the existing implementations of these commands I decided it would be easier to replace them rather than hack what was there already. My implementation of these commands uses an Apple supplied tool (docsetutil) to search for the word, etc. in the docsets so don't need any private index lists to find words quickly. This has the big advantage that the index is always up to date and covers every framework. The code is a lot simpler as well. The only downside I can see is this may only work with Leopard - I don't know and don't have any easy way of finding if it works with Tiger. I didn't work through all the ramifications of the original selector identification code so it is possible my version has some holes - I have tried it with lots of examples and it seems to work, but if any problem cases are discovered I will be pleased to fix them. To install this version copy the enclosed ruby file to /Applications/ TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Support/lib/ directory and edit the two commands (or make two new commands) as follows: Documentation for Word: #!/usr/bin/env ruby require ENV['TM_SUPPORT_PATH'] + '/lib/docset_query' documentation_for_word with input, output and scope selector as per the original. Will show a list of candidates if more than one and also prefix them with the language if more than one is present (hint try selecting init outside of a [ ]. Documentation for Selector: #!/usr/bin/env ruby require ENV['TM_SUPPORT_PATH'] + '/lib/docset_query' documentation_for_selector with input set to "Entire Document", output "Show as Tool Tip" and scope selector as per the original. If there is interest in absorbing this work into the official distribution that is fine by me and I hope I haven't committed any sins in where the helper file is stored. Dave.

cool rubymate help feature that comes and goes

For a while, there was this great feature in RubyMate. When you select a term in your script and press control-H, RubyMate would consult ri (or fri or whatever it is) and, if there were multiple alternatives found, would list them all in a little tooltip or popup menu beneath the mouse. So if you said "gsub" you might see Kernel#gsub, String#gsub, and so on. This is a menu so you could click an alternative and do a lookup of that in the help. Very nice. The thing is, though, that this feature has completely vanished as if I'd only dreamt it. Does anyone know how I can get it back? RubyMate's ri interface was really pretty good, because so much of it was clickable links. The Terminal ri interface is very inconvenient because none of it is clickable links, but that's pretty much what I'm stuck with now. PyMate broken

I was getting errors (Ruby errors, I believe) when trying to use the TODO List bundle, so, finding the "TODO Bundle Broken" thread in this list and trying to follow the advice there, I deleted some bundles (and some unused plugins I discovered in the process) from "~/Library/Application Support/Textmate" and also updated all the bundles in my "/Users/mjg/Library/Application Support/TextMate/Bundles/" directory from subversion. Now the TODO List bundle is working beautifully (for the first time!), but when I try to use PyMate "Run Script" command to run a Python file I get this error: "-e:2:in `require': No such file to load -- /Applications/TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Support/lib/tm/executor (LoadError) from -e:2". It's true that there is no such file--in fact, the "/Applications/TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Support/lib/tm/" directory does not exist. Why is this error happening and what should I do about it? For what it's worth: other PyMate commands (such as "Run Script (Terminal)" still appear to work correctly. I'm running the latest "Cutting-Edge" TextMate, Version 1.5.7 (1464). Thanks, Mike

TextMate, Changes.app, and Mercurial

Hi, I've just purchased a new computer which has enabled me to switch over to using Changes.app for my diff uses. Unfortunately, the TextMate integration assumes Subversion for version control whereas I use Mercurial. I've made the suggested additions as mentioned on the Changes Wiki and everything works great from the command line, but the TextMate integration is failing me. I'm not familiar enough with either the Changes or the Mercurial bundle to make the changes, so I'm appealing to the TextMate community for help. Is there some way I can either switch the Changes bundle to use Mercurial or alternatively, switch the Mercurial bundle to use chdiff and my merge script instead of just diff? Thanks, Tim Lahey

unicode issue with QuickLook on Leopard

Hello, I've been seeing a weird issue with non-ASCII characters appearing messed up when QuickLooking a utf-8 file saved from TextMate. Here is a screenshot: http://vnoel.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/ql-bug.png The same problem appears when opening the file with TextEdit -- non-ASCII characters are messed up. Unix tools (file, cat) show the file correctly. After digging around I found a thread [1] on the vim mailing list that says it is related to extended attributes that are set by TextEdit and that need to be present for QL to correctly recognize the utf8 encoding. If you set the extended attribute manually on the utf8 file, non-ASCII characters appear fine in QL. This looks like a bug in QL which, given its lack of publicity, is rarely triggered and probably due to something specific to my setup. I'm not sure what to do next, apart from applying 'xattr' to every text file I save with TextMate :-) Does anyone has advice ? I'm sorry if this issue has already been discussed previously on this list or elsewhere, but I couldn't find any other reference using Google. Thanks ! a (somewhat rudimentary) relax ng bundle

in the attachment you will find a quick-and-dirty Relax NG bundle. it doesn't do much, apart from syntax highlighting for .rnc files (the cool "compact" version of Relas NG) and a few snippets for attributes, elements and common datatypes (the ones I was using, actually :). afaik nobody else worked on this stuff, so it might come in handy if you end up working on huge rnc files (beats xml schema by a HUGE margin). the little I've done is in the public domain, so use it as you see fit. cheers, d.

Closed Loop in latex_watch.pl of the Latex.tmbundle

Dear users of the textmate bundle for Latex, I'm using the "Watch Document" command (is latex_watch.pl in version 2.8) in textmate to have my masters thesis always up-to-date when I change something in the tex file and hit save. Since a few days this doesn't work as before, cause I'm running in a closed loop. When textmate starts watching my main document (the thesis is splitted in several files) it successfully compiles the document with pdflatex and displays me the result in my preferred viewer Skim. But after having done this it recompiles the whole file again and then reloads the file in Skim. This is pretty annoying behaviour, cause I haven't changed anything in the main file, also it takes loads of cpu, speeds the macbooks fans up and is constantly refreshing Skim. Wether there is a bug of "latex_watch.pl" or it observes a file which is updated through the initial and every following compilation and therefore runs in a closed loop. I tried two versions of the latex.tmbundle so far. I think one was the original one which came with textmate and the other one was the one from the svn repository as of yesterday. Both show the same behaviour. My question is now. How can I analyze the problem (closed loop). Is there a way to put the latex.tmbundle in debug mode so I can see some log messages? I tried this already by specifing the projects variable "TM_LATEX_WATCH_DEBUH = dialog" but without any success. I didn't found the debug output on my disk. What are other ways? Concerning tm_dialog

formal definition of scope selector syntax?

In the Help for TextMate, the following are given as examples of legal selectors (with explanations of what they mean / match): text.html.ruby, text.html source.ruby string string.quoted source.php string text.html source.php source.ruby string source.ruby string - string source string, comment So, operators here are space, comma-space, and space-minus-space. It appears that space has highest priority, then space-minus-space, then comma. (Or so I would presume.) So far, then, it all seems quite coherent; I grok prefix-matching, descendancy, exclusion, and OR (the comma is apparently an OR operator, even though the help rather confusingly seems to describe it as an AND). Then, in a blog entry (http://blog.macromates.com/2005/introduction-to-scopes/), additional info is given: (a | b) & c - d I find that last one incoherent; I don't get where the pieces are or how the operators here fit, priority-wise, with the previously given operators. For example, which of the selectors given in the first list would be a legal substitute for "b" here? And conversely, for which expressions in the first list of legal selectors, if any, could this expression be substituted? Javascript Language Highlighter Misses Regex in Array

Hello All, The JavaScript language highlighter doesn't highlight regular expressions inside of an array. Here is a code sample that shows some simple test cases and only a few pass: /test/ [/test/] [1,2,/test/] [1,2,/test/,'blah',/test/] [ /test/, /test/ ,/test/ ] new Array(1,2,3) new Array(/test/, /test/, /test/) "blah".match(/test/); I haven't worked much with languages before, but I assume all that would be needed would be including "string.regexp.js" inside of an array class or maybe modify "punctuation.definition.string.begin.js". I couldn't find any way to do that. I also tried adding a "," to the list of characters that could come before the regexp itself but it didn't seem to work, but I'm still new. Can anyone recommend a solution? Also, can anyone point me to where I can find the definition of "punctuation.definition.*" and the like? Problem reading preferences file, LaTeX Bundle

Dear textmate users I apologize if this problem was already described somewhere, but I could not find a solution. I'm using Textmate build 1436 and the LaTeX bundle to typeset some .tex document. Everything is working, but I always get the message "There was a problem reading the preferences file, continuing with defaults" at the top of the "Typeset & View" window. When I go to the bundle preferences I also get a floating yellow message saying There was a problem reading the preferences file, continuing with defaults The problem is that I can't change any bundle preferences, so for example I can't make the log window stay open after typesetting. I found someone with the same problem, but there it seemed to be caused by build 1455, and when she reverted to 1436 it was gone. Any suggestions? Should I install the latest build? Preventing Textmate from leaving backup save files

DIALOG2 html tooltip wrong location on Tiger

Hi, I just checked out the latest DIALOG2 code, compiled it on my good old Mac OSX 10.4.11 ppc. If I invoke an HTML tooltip the webview is correct but it will be placed at position (0,0) bottom left. The frame size fits. I tried to figure out why, but I didn't see it. Is this reproducible? Here a tiny test command: Type "$DIALOG" tooltip -f html <<< 'Hello World' and press CTRL+R --Hans

Non-contiguous selection

Hi I've just started using TextMate and I'm hugely impressed by it. My text editor requirements are not very sophisticated, I use it mostly for HTML/CSS and for processing text from time to time from databases, or transcripts of online meetings with chat clients, that kind of thing. I'm sure that I will be using TextMate for my simple AppleScript writing as well now in preference to Apple's rather basic Script Editor. I have been using BBEdit for ages and I feel it is a very fine text editor indeed, however TextMate is a bit of genius. Before I used BBEdit I used the Nisus Writer word processor for text editing in the classic Mac OS. Although a word processor Nisus Writer was a superb text editor and, like TextMate offered many truly unique abilities. Nisus also made a text editor called QUED/M which predated their word processor and had similar unique abilities of their word processor. One of the truly great things about Nisus Writer and QUED/M was the non-contiguous text selection and the way in which Nisus had exploited this. I think Nisus were the first with non-contiguous text selection but today it is quite common-place. An obvious example is Apple's TextEdit which will do non-contiguous text selection. If you are not familiar with it then you can open an TextEdit document and put it in 'rich text' mode if it is not already. Then put some text into it. Now you can select non-contiguous words in that text using command-click. Now that you have selected those words you can press command-B on your keyboard and those words will turn bold. I'm now going to describe how Nisus exploited non-contiguous text selection and why it was so very useful. If you imagine that you have some text which is intended for a web- site. Within the text are various book titles and you wish to surround these with the tag. There is nothing at all about the words of the book titles which is similar. Well with Nisus Writer you would select the book titles non-contiguously, using command-click, then you would get out the Find dialogue and put in the Find field: .+ In the Replace field: & (The & matching all of the Find field) Then you invoke 'Replace in Selection' and each piece of non- contiguously selected text is now surrounded by tags. In Nisus Writer you would turn that operation into a macro and now you can apply the tags to any non-contiguously selected text with great ease. Now it gets cleverer :) In the example above the replaced text, the book titles surrounded by is still selected after the Find/Replace has been performed. This means that further GREP Find/Replace can by performed using 'Replace in Selection. With a programme like BBEdit a search for multiple items in a file will produce a browser identifying the search results. However with Nisus Writer a search for multiple items in a file will leave them selected non-contiguously in the file. This enables you to perform a further search on those non-contiguous selections with 'Replace in Selection' again. To give an example. I think it is nice to have smart quotes in the displayed text in a web- site. To do this I have to use HTML entities. The actual text I have contains 'stupid' quotes, however I can create a Find/Replace that will look for the 'stupid' quotes and replace them with 'smart quote' HTML entities depending on whether they come before or after words. The problem is that there are many 'stupid' quotes in the HTML tags for things like class="main". What I need to do is to find the text between the HTML tags and then replace the 'stupid' quotes in that with the smart quote HTML entities. To do this in BBEdit I created an AppleScript which has a loop. It finds the first instance of 'text between HTML tags' and then replaces 'stupid' quotes with smart quote HTML tags. Then it finds the next instance of 'text between HTML tags' and so on... To do that required me to create quite a clunking AppleScript. However in Nisus Writer I could do it with two simple Find/Replace operations. Because Nisus Writer had non-contiguous selection of course. I could find all the instances of 'text between HTML tags' and know that this was selected. Then I could use 'Replace in Selection' to replace all the 'stupid' quotes with smart quote HTML entities. For Nisus Writer this was an absolutely trivial matter. So, the moral of my story is that in a text editor with GREP Find/ Replace having non-contiguous text selection brings a massive amount of additional text editing power. Patrick

Keep project drawer expansions across sessions

Feature Request inline menu for bundle commands with the same shortcut

Hi, example: if I press CTRL+SHIFT+A I see all subversion commands: Add to Repository Remove From Repository Revert Update to Newest ---------- Commit ---------- Blame Info Log View Revision... Status ---------- Diff Revisions ... Would it be possible to have the submenu titles instead of a line '--------' in TM 2.0? À la: Add to Repository Remove From Repository Revert Update to Newest ---------- Commit ---------- History and Info Blame Info Log View Revision... Status Diff Diff Revisions ... Merge  Show Available Revisions for Merging Resolve Conflicts With FileMerge… .... This already works for shortcuts of commands which are stored in different bundles. Feature Request for Bundle Init

Hi, for some bundles I wrote I came across that it would be nice to have a kind of a "init procedure" for bundles. I'm thinking about to have a standard subfolder called "_INIT_" in a bundle. If that subfolder exists all scripts inside of that subfolder will be executed while installing that bundle (meaning double-click at X.tmbundle, or "Reload Bundles", or TM starts). It should be added a marker that indicates that the init procedure was done to avoid to call these scripts more than once. This init scripts should be execute inside of the bundle environment (to e.g. interpret $TM_BUNDLE_SUPPORT correctly). This could be helpful for instance: - to check dependencies of libs, files, versions of executables, OS version etc. and give an alert if something mismatches - to set up/build/unzip bundle specific files (useful to minimize the bundle size while downloading) - to install a specific environment used by the bundle's commands (e.g. for the Rdaemon, it will install Rdaemon while installing the bundle) - to ask the user if a file is missing to download it and to install it I do not know if that request is specific to me. And I do not know what kind of consequences will arise, esp. to check e.g. a text file was changed inside of the bundle which is the source to built an index file. Of course, it could also be a security issue. Furthermore if these init scripts always will execute if TM starts it could be used to check if an update is available for the given bundle. "Edit in Textmate" not working for Mail.app

Hi, I try to use the "Edit in Textmate" function in Mail but all I get is a blank page. If I type something and save it, it would just add that piece of text to the mail, where the cursor is. Is this the default behaviour? I thought Textmate usually display the whole mail.... The "Edit in Textmate" works in other application, I'm writing this post now through Safari in Textmate. Insert todo with ruby idents =begin and =end

A annoyance with the insert todo -macro and ruby is that if the cursor is indended when using it it places the =begin and =end tags at the current level. The problem is that ruby only regognizes them at the start of the line. So this works: if true puts "foo" =begin TODO: =end end But this doesn't work: if true puts "foo" =begin TODO: =end end I haven't had the time to look at the insert-todo code too much so I can't provide a patch, but the correct behaviour would be to make sure that there is no whitespace before the comment block tags. (IMO is rather silly of ruby that block comments can't have whitespace before the =begin and =end tags...)

Shortcut Alt+Shift+S conflict

Hello, I'm a fresh user of TextMate, and I have a little problem. By default there is something assigned to the Alt+Shift+S keys combination. This "something" prints a message: cat: /tmp/TextMate-ScratchSnippet.txt: No such file or directory The problem is that this keys combination is also a combination for the Polish letter "Ś", so it's difficult to write regular Polish text. Is there a way to turn this shortcut off? Thank You for help. Writing a Book with TextMate

Hi, I would like to gather some suggestions for the following. 1) Don't want to go into that Latex thing. 2) Keep chapters in simple Text Format ( or markdown or Textile ) 3) Project also contains a huge amount of reference files in txt and pdf format 4) What's the best way to handle: a) Index b) footnotes c) References d) Appendixes etc. Is it a good thing to keep the Book in one single file, or is it better to use multiple files ? Small Python annoyances

Hi guys! I bought TextMate a few days ago, but Python editing is giving me the creeps. First, I disabled the Auto-pair characters option, but I still get the closing parenthesis and colon when I create a function ("def"). It ignores when I type the closing parenthesis, but it doesn't ignore the colon. Second, it seems TextMate get really confused when you follow PEP8: If you use spaces instead of tabs, it doesn't do auto-indentation in the next line. In the same issue, it seems TextMate uses tabs instead of spaces (against the PEP8.) Third, still in the PEP8-issues, I'm trying to find a way to make hard-breaks when going beyond column 78. TextMate have soft-breaks, but I'd really like to have it to automagically insert the break for me (and add an indentation to the next line.) Fourth, PyCheckMate doesn't understand when you do an indentation when you do a hard-break and add the indentation (it complains about "unexpected indent".) I guess most of it is easily fixable messing with the Bundle, but I still didn't grasp the whole concept of it. Paste from history broken after modifier keys changed

I've swapped my Caps Lock and Control keys on my keyboard under System Preferences (Keyboard & Mouse > Modifier Keys...), but now the wonderful Paste from history (CTRL+OPTION+CMD+V) no longer works. Does anybody know of a workaround? Thanks, Nate

SVN, Save Project, Regex search and replace

Our development team has been tracking some odd behaviour with SVN commits and updates. We are primarily a three man team and we all commit code into our repo which works well. However, we've noticed that after I perform a project wide search and replace using regex and then commit, the data committed is not from the current file. The regex replacements are actually carried out on what appears to be a copy of the file from the last "Save Project" date. For example: "appCaches.php" is a file maintained by subversion. Download the files, here: http://www.mattmecham.com/images/appcachefiles.zip r#1355 was made by me on 21st May - which coincides with the last time I chose "Save Project" even though I choose "Save All" regularly. r#1479 was committed by a member of the development team adding data to the file. Although I chose rev 1479, this file was committed around 1450ish and hasn't changed until I did my global search and replace, so it's not just a one revision increment problem. r#1480 was made by me after performing a global search and replace. As you can see, it's actually performed a search and replace on r#1355, not r#1479! What does TextMate do when you choose "Save Project"? I thought it just updated the xml file containing data about open files. Does the regex search and replace work on cached copies anywhere? Turn off auto-indent? Or paste without indent?

Hello, been using TextMate for a few years now, a good record for my first annoyance :) I'm writing a lot of Python code now and since it uses whitespace for blocks, every time I paste something after a function or class etc the pasted text is indented at the level of the previous block when I want it to be pasted the way it was copied. This means every time I paste, I have to select the block I just pasted and un-indent it hundreds of times every day... Is there a command to turn off auto-indent? like Cmd-something Cmd-V Cmd-something so I can toggle it off when pasting in Python. Or even better, some sort of macro like Cmd-Shift-V that would paste without auto-indent Thanks, Skye

Using PyCheckMate with a python virtual environment

Greetings, I am currently using TextMate for a Pylons project with its own virtual environment. So, instead of using /usr/local/bin/python, I use a python interpreter at a specific path. Is there an environment variable I can set so that TextMate uses the correct interpreter so that my imports go through? Thanks, Ben

comments in LaTeX bundle, wrong with TeX grammar

Hi list, The comment/decomment command (apple-/) has a different effect in LaTeX files (correctly prepends %) than in TeX files (incorrectly prepends #). To fix that: < ciaran> cDlm: ok, if you go into the bundle editor, change the dropdown at top left to select Preferences, and then look for the "Comments" item in the LaTeX bundle < ciaran> and change where it says "text.tex.latex" at the bottom right to be "text.tex" Also here are the conclusions of the IRC discussion with ciaran and allan: - the TeX grammar is not meant to be use per se (then it shouldn't appear in the mode menu at the bottom of buffers) - .sty files are claimed by the TeX grammar (LaTeX would be better) -- Damien Pollet type less, do more [ | ] http://people.untyped.org/damien.pollet

Hi, is there a reason why TM beeps if I call open "txmt://open?" ? I do leave out line and column in order to avoid that TM looses its selection. I'm just writing a character sheet to insert uncommon used charaters by using an HTML window with TextMate.system JavaScript-bridge. Every time if I insert a character TM beeps. Textmate/Latex: Citation Inclusion does not work

Hello together, I'm facing quite a strange problem with the citation inclusion in Latex (->Latex ->Insert ->Citation Based on current word). I always get the following error: /tmp/temp_textmate.zgtzns:4: command not found: kpsewhich -show-path=bib After the error-message, the right citation key is inserted. But i always have to delete the text before (the error message), and this is very uncomfortable. I am working on a project, and the problem only occurs in the "child"-documents, in my Master-File everything the citation inclusion works very fine. I set the the shell variable for the master-file as well as for the Bib-file. PHP Debugging - ZDebug Client Coming Tomorrow

Several people responded and it sounded like there were a lot of error_log'ing and stuff, but nothing on par with a real debugger. How to add Actionscript breakpoints?

Hi there, I'm trying to figure out how to add breakpoints to my AS3 code. I'm compiling using Simon Gregory's Flex/AS3 bundle using the FCSH compiler. Also I'd like to know what's a good debugger to use that I can pause and execute my code with. I'm on a Mac so I can't use FlashDevelop and I'd rather not buy a license for the Flex IDE. AS3- Textmate open my SWF when compile is finished?

I'm compiling using fcsh compile from Simon Gregory's AS3 bundle which is great but I'm not sure how to open the SWF in Flashplayer without choosing the Build command. How to target my AS3 class library when compiling from Textmate?

Hello, I would like to be able to target my class library so I can re- use AS3 classes I have written. In the Flash IDE I set this in the Preferences though I am not sure where I set this when compiling using fcsh through the AS3 bundle. I am guessing it's in the flex- config.xml file or maybe the project specific project-config.xml file? Also, do I need to manually copy over classes I have used from my library into my project folder in order to share the project with other developers or is there an automated way of exporting the source files in this way?
