hi,
I'd like to request, that the language display in the statusbar could also act as a widget to change the current language, because often the automatic detection can't come up with the correct language and it would make an often-used feature more accessible without wasting screen real-estate or otherwise cluttering things up.
any comments?
best regards,

Yes -- the status bar has remained static because it's just a text cell. I do have a few plans about interactive elements in the bar, including the language popup.

great, that will be a welcome usability enhancement. just in case you're not familiar with NetNewsWire[1], (its author) Brent Simmons has included a nice and slick selector widget (for stylesheets) in the bottom status bar. I don't know if it's some custom- or a standard cocoa-widget, but something like that would fit the bill ;-)
best regards,
tom
