The darwin ports email list is temporarily shutdown and I couldn't find any other help online. thought one of the experts here could help since I need this to use LaTex with TextMate.
I'm trying to install teTex on my iBook G4 and have installed Xcode 2.4 and DarwinPorts 1.3.1, I get the following error.
Any ideas on what I can do to get Tex on my Mac?
Thanks
Dennis

I think you need to install the X11 SDK from the Xcode tools.

Probably use one of the GUI installers, if you have latest Cutting Edge of TextMate, then select Help from the LaTeX bundle and follow the link :)
For the records, it is: http://www.tug.org/~koch/
Thanks Allan. I decided to remove DarwinPorts and Xcode and went with MacTex, much easier solution :)
I appreciate the help!

Just as an aside, I learned recently that after installing MacTex, you can subsequently use i-installer to update its components. I had previously only used i-installer on its own, but as integrated with MacTex, it works really well as a way to keep your installation current without having to puzzle through any of the innards.
