I have noticed that the latest beta cannot open actionscript files with a .as extension in a project, this is because .as is missing from the Info.plist list of recognised extensions - oops!

Already reported and added in beta 5 (or 1.0.1, whatever comes first ;) ).
For now you can add it to your Info.plist in your local copy, and it'll work.
Kind regards Allan, who is anxiously awaiting the next registration, which will trigger the G5 order! :)

Done!
What's the current number of registered users BTW?

Yes, and 13 were freebies. But I'm looking forward to when the time-out starts to kick in ;) my initial goal was 200 licenses sold the first month, so my expectations have been met so far.
And thanks a lot for providing the registration which tipped the scale, and of course also thanks to the other ~150 people! unfortunately there is a 3-5 weeks waiting period on my G5 :\ but at least now it's a sure thing! :)
Kind regards Allan

With all these features we ask you to add, will we have to pay for a second license? After all a nice 30" screen would perfectly fit your G5 ;-)

Related, as much as I like 95% of them, will all these additional features not start slowing TM down? Or will there be a way to en/dis-able them as needed at launchtime, with a textmate.conf file or so?

Martin

I should probably setup a “$100 per feature”-service ;)

If anything, TextMate will be _faster_ over the next versions! :)
I'm only adding features which I think makes sense, in a way that makes sense, and in a way which shouldn't affect the running time -- the only problem is the code base size, which affects startup time. It's currently at 24 KLOC, but I think I can actually decrease it a bit over time, I'm waiting with refactoring till I get my G5, since it's a pain with my current machine, due to the compile times.
So the goal of TextMate is and always will be to be a small fast and flexible general purpose text editor, so don't worry about bloat! ;)
Kind regards Allan
