I am the maintainer of the Python bundle. During the last couple of years, I have not had the opportunity to use Python very regularly and I feel that I have let the Python bundle languish. Today I saw that Python 2.6 has been released. Are there any avid Python users on the list who would be interested in adding Python 2.6 features to the TextMate grammar? Is there anyone who would take over maintainership of the bundle?

I'm a complete python newbie, so probably not the best maintainer. That said, I wouldn't mind contributing, especially if we could make it a community effort via github or something.
What do others think?

All the bundles are a community effort, the maintainer simply makes sure a particular bundle works well together etc. If you'd like to submit changes to a bundle see:

Brad Miller is now the maintainer for the Python bundle, so please send any patches his way!
