In addition to that, I would love to be able to use TextMate as an external editor for other FTP applications like Interarchy.

I'd second the request for external editor status -- while integrated SFTP is good, so is choice, there are some good clients (FTP, WebDav etc.), and other reasons to not *only* offer integrated SFTP.
