Hi,
just saw the tm_dialog screencast: http://macromates.com/screencast/ intro_to_tm_dialog.mov
just a quick note to say that I'm amazed at tm_dialog... Well, tm_dialog isgreat :), but really it's more the power of the Interface Builder, what you can do without coding that got me of my feet.
really amazing.
Best regards, (and now waiting eagerly for the next tm_dalog screencasts :)) -- Pedro Melo JID: xmpp:melo@simplicidade.org
Apple's done some really incredible things with their tools. I've got a bit of experience with interface builder from when I worked on some mac apps a while back. I have to say, this is one of the smartest implementations I've seen.
IMO, this is going to change the game for TextMate. I can't wait to see how the SVN and CVS packages evolve when it's easier to put some really helpful dialogs in there. Oh, the possibilities.
Say, how does one acquire this numbered release that allegedly already contains this feature? I've only got the standard install.

Preferences -> Software Update -> Cutting Edge, then click update now.

Just go into preferences and go to Software Update, then choose cutting edge. Then update and it will keep up with the new stuff more often.

Quite stable. Nothing to fear there.

I've been using it in a production environment for as long as I can remember, and the only problem I've ever had was a misplaced menu (really minor issue). No data loss so far (knock on wood :)
I'd say go ahead and enjoy the wonders of cutting edge :D
