I just have to say you guys are brave, installing Lion into your workflow all willynilly like that. Especially when the support for 'Now Leopard Compatible' TextMate is basically just some dudes chilling on a mailing list.

Really is surprising to think that a Text Editor would have any concern with what version of the operating system it is running under, especially since the PublicFrameworks maintain backwards compatibility with earlier applications by simply not changing *how* to do something, and merely when necessary adding new calls.
If we were talking about something designed for another architecture, or if the PublicFrameworks were being depreciated.
To the best of my knowledge, neither of these situations has happened, so use of said application should continue to be safe for the long-term. That in no way means that people wouldn't like increased functionality to be provided; much as people are still clamoring for TM2 to find it's way out.

Really there isn't much difference on the surface. Just more of the same but done better, done right. Good ideas are a bit better, some stuff is more natural, some stuff is like "finally". I haven't had any hiccups beyond some of the SIMBL hack I used to use. TotalFinder doesn't work for me, neither does TotalTerminal but I can survive. Full screen terminal is nice.
