Hello,
I am new to this list, so this question may have been asked before.
Since TextMate 1.5 I keep getting a spinning beach ball for 20+ seconds so often that it makes using TextMate very cumbersome.
Are my documents too long (2000+ lines)? Are there too many files in my projects? Am I using the wrong color scheme (iPlastic)? Is there a problem with LaTeX (what I am using TextMate for)?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thx,
Wolter

Does this happen only when you invoke a command, or does it happen while typing (or just randomly)? If the former, do you have Fink installed?
Trevor
It happens on occasions like when I switch from another application to TextMate, or when I trigger the Find dialog box in TextMate, or switch to another document.
As far as I know I don't have Fink installed

are you editing files belonging to a SMB/AFP/NFS network share?
The files are on my hard disk. I have had this with two different computers now.

try to attach a profiler to TextMate and send the results to allan (or to the list). you can find Shark (apple's profiler) in the CHUD package on the ADC website. if you need more info, I'm sure allan or somebody else will be glad to help you on irc.freenode.org, channel #textmate.
Do the files contain really long lines? What is the longest line in them? On Jan 31, 2006, at 8:28 AM, Domenico Carbotta wrote:
