Hi to all,
I am writing a documentation, and started off in HTML. However, that creates all sorts of problems, so I'd like to do it in Markdown better. The problem is, that I have written already half of the documentation using HTML (which I prefer over Textile or Markdown)
Is there a command to convert back to Markdown from HTML ? I couldn't see one (I was wondering may be also I broke some stuff, because of SVN)
regards, marios

Try open a new document, switch to Markdown, and drag your HTML file to this window.
It uses HTML2Text from Aaron Swartz. My experience with it is however limited success.
There is also make.text, a bookmarklet: http://homepage.mac.com/tjim/ that one does an amazing job.

Maybe we can add this to TM?

It’s written in JavaScript -- I don’t think we can evaluate that on the Mac from a drop command.
It could be done using the Rhino jar and Java. Would take a few seconds to launch it though. JQuery uses this process to use Dean Edwards' packer from the commandline for builds.
