A very handy little feature in jkEdit is the ability to jump to functions/classes/methods from a dropdown at the top of the page, is this viable? This along with the split views would keep my programmer (and I'm sure a lot more JEdit users) VERY happy.

I second that. It makes life really alot easier (especially while the folding in python doesn't work 100% yet ;-P)
