This is a feature request.
When multiple items are found when pressing keyboard shortcuts, a menu will appear. (See 5.1.1 http://manual.macromates.com/en/bundles#activation_of_bundle_items )
In the menu, TextMate offers 1 to 9 to make selecting an item easy. But in the menu, I woud like to use control-N and control-P to move up or down.
Spotlight, Safari's location bar and many other apps support Control-P and Control-N for various places.
It would be cool if TextMate has this support.
Of course, I know I can use arrow keys or just type the first letter of the item to select an item.

Maybe you can set up keybindings to do this?

The problem was solved.
I simply moved to a new keyboard that allows me to use arrow keys with Fn-[ and Fn-/ . The current arrow key support of TextMate is now sufficient. I don't have to move might right hand to right-bottom of the keyboard to use arrow keys.
See the pic if interested.

Okay, just for the records though (as the request makes sense), since these are standard (system controlled) menus, I can’t actually change how they work (wrt key handling etc.).
