The new beta looks *very* nice. The preferences and menu reorganization are great, and the incremental-search is oh-so-great!
Keep up the good work, Macromateys!
i agree: a big hug for adding that incremental search, what a grreeeaaaat feature! =-) tm is getting greater day by day, and so does my love to it.

Yes indeed!!
I haven't read every mail in this list (I know, awful .. won't happen again :) so I might have missed something... Why remove the option to show/hide tab/status-bar ?
Personally I get along really fine with the drawer and use ctrl--alt-cmd-d to show/hide it. Tabs I always hide :(
I realize the tab bar is a great feature and I will proberbly start using it over time, but I can't see why to remove the show/hide options for it.
kind regards / ivar

I didn't thought anyone would actually use them, and if possible, I'd like to enforce that they're always enabled (since I'll rely more on these elements in the future).
I can bring back the option to hide the tab bar.
Anyone hiding the stats bar?
I'm hiding both of those. Mainly because whenever I'm having more than one document "open" I use the project drawer, so the tab bar has always been hidden for me (it even is now even though the option is gone, but I guess it's sticking there from my prefs in the previous versions :) ).
I can live with the statusbar being shown all the time (even though I like to reduce "clutter") because it's so small, if its a necessity in future versions to have it visible all the time..

I agree, thank you! The menu reorganization has shortened the menu so it does not hide my desktop manager status bar.
As for incremental search -- great start. Can you make it so that navigation keypresses also cancel the search? ie line up, line down, character forward and character backward should all escape out of the search.
Also, reverse search does not work for me. I can't see that that key is already bound somewhere -- does this work for everyone else?
Thanks, Wayne
