I miss them too and hope they're having a nice time. :-)
It occurred to me that if and when they come to see us, it might be nice to be able to press a key combo and have (multiple) split panes automatically show you all the bookmarks in the current file in context. This could be particularly useful if bookmarks are stored and retrieved when a file is reopened as it would allow you to quickly reference important elements of a file that you're working on. This could be a problem for people who set lots of bookmarks, but I tend to have around 2 or 3 at any one time.
In any case I guess this is the sort of thing that would be doable by adding applescript (or similar) support in TM.
The other option is that TM just remembers split pane and 'in-file location' settings between loads which, for me, would reduce my use of bookmarks.
