When I start TextMate, it downloads the latest update. I click on Install & Relaunch and get an "Install Failed" message. This has happened every day this week.
I searched the archives and found a message that said this happens on non-admin accounts, but without a fix.
I am an admin account, so something else must be going on.
Anyone else seeing this or any advice?
Bob

It should handle non-admin accounts just fine (by prompting for password).

Run Console and check the error message reported there, it should be more precise.

Nothing appears in Console except for the messages when I first launch TM.

What version are you currently at?
I checked the code base, and all error messages say why the update failed except one, which instead says to check console (because in that case, the exact reason is only to be found in the console).

This one only says that it failed. No other information.

Okay, try grab 1.5.3 as a direct download from http://macromates.com/ and use the updater in that version. At least it should have better error reporting if something prevents the update from being successful.
Thank you - I downloaded the latest and greatest and Update says this build doesn't need updating.
