Any chance of a intel only bin of textmate? I've noticed a hell of a difference in pretty much every app bar textmate in snow leopard.
If you could spit out an intel binary that would be great!
Many thanks -Lawrence
This very well could be the bump needed in some performance areas of TM to hold us all over for the next release. Good to know you are seeing gains in other apps. I think I look most forward to an Apple Mail that behaves.

And raise memory consumption, which IMHO can do better especially when using Find in Project, which eats a lot in current 32-bit builds. I know it is way OSX memory allocation works for small blocks, but one can use own allocator which acts better for this particular case.
Regards,
Allan, just add a 'Donations' option somewhere on TextMate's page. It would be a pity to repress so many people of good will :)

Assuming by intel you mean 64 bit, unfortunately I rely on a few APIs which Apple does not provide in 64 bit mode.
I would be rather surprised though if it really would make that much of a speed difference.
According to Allan Odgaard:

Maybe in Snow Leopard where the kernel is 64 bit but in leopard, kernel is still 32 bit so you take a hit for 64 bit apps.
