hi,
sorry to say that but new tabs doesn't pop to the eye like the old ones...with the old ones the selected one was instantly seen because it was blue....
what's your opinion about that?

I much, much, much prefer the new ones. The old ones I thought were awful!

My view is that the current tabs are a definite improvement and with b.7 I feel the app has more of the polish I expect with an OS X app.
I did wonder how the tabs might look if the line along the bottom of the active tab (between the top of the document and the tab itself) were lighter than that along the bottom of the non-active apps, but am pretty happy about things really.

In my honest opinion the new tabs are *MUCH* better. IF every little issue that can be improved in TM is improved to that extent, then the app will surely become the best app on the platform! : )
Yeah, I know, perhaps a bit over the top, but I LIKE THEM !!

Mats

The new tabs are very much an improvement. They're not perfect yet, but I don't think anyone expects that at this early stage. They're a very positive step in the right direction.
Obviously I've no idea of the technical constraints on this, but it would be nice if the selected tab had no dividing line between it and the document, as per attached image.
Apart from removing the line beneath the selected tab, I also darkened the border color of the tab to match that of the line. (didn't mess with the corners, which is why they now look weak - but you get the idea).
drew.
The absence of the line works for me. Nice. I'm curious what Justin would say: I respect his opinion on this and wonder what he thinks.

Initially Justin did it like that, and I turned it down ;)
There were a few reasons I didn't like it: a) too much white, reminds me of a Java/Windows app b) won't work with different bg colors c) need to offset the tabs to make room for the gutter (and that's sort of quite difficult because the gutter can change width etc.) d) technically the line is drawn by the scroll view, but that's a coder-reason, so probably it doesn't count ;)
Kind regards Allan
