Sorry for what seems like a really noob question, but I'm ripping my hair out on this one.
Was working away on a Rails app when I hit what I thought was <ctl><opt><shift>D. suddenly every .rb file in all of my apps lost all color. everything is black and white and I can no longer see the comments, etc. in different colors.

thanks in advance
Sounds like you changed your language setting to Diff (ctrl-opt-shift-D does exactly that). Below the text editor, to the right of the line & column numbers, it should say (L) Ruby, or probably (L) Ruby on Rails. If you hit ctrl-opt-shift-R, you will get a choice of all the languages that start with R, and by selecting Rails you should get your colors & commands back.
