I was testing TextMate, which seemed very attractive and promising, but I stumbled upon a very simple difficulty: how do you display 2 files simultaneously? Like having two panes in the editor window, to be able to see two files at the same time, or even two parts of the same file?

You can control-click a file in the project drawer and select “Open in new Window”.

Split-views are currently not possible, but it's on the to-do, we just had a long thread about it ;)
