Hello,
seems that Smoot Scrolling doesn't work in TM like in any other cocoa app (e.g. colloquy). Someone experienced this?
(I have asked for this in irc today, without answer)

I am using a standard NSScrollView -- I don’t know if there maybe is some hidden setting I can enable, or if Apple wrote different code for NSTextView and WebView to get this behavior (their list view does not seem to have smooth scrolling, nor a few other NSScrollView-based controls).
I don’t plan to re-implement their code, given how no-one has ever mentioned this before, and this really being something which belongs in NSScrollView, and not TextMate.

It's not important Allan, just my curiosity, I have checked "Use smooth scrolling" in Appareance Preference Pane, and I have seen a good looking scrolling effect in Colloquy using ⇞ and ⇟. When I have tried ⇞ and ⇟ in TM the effect it is not appeared.

I don't know why, but I never tried Smooth Scrolling before. After reading your post I tried it with a few apps and it work in almost all Text views/Lists views. (It's not working in Camino and FF.)
Then I tried in TM... and it works too. It's working really well with page Up/Down, I don't see any difference using the scroll wheel though, the difference is more obvious in e.g. Safari or TextEdit.
Might just be a pref to set for document windows...

Ok, I've understood, Smooth Scrolling doesn't work in my TM because I have activated the keybindings to move the caret with page up/down following Allan instructions.
Well, I prefer to have the movement of the caret.
Thank you, Tommaso
ooh! where can I find these instructions. that's one of the things that's bugged me the most about OS X. (I'm a switcher)
