I personally will wait until Gerben and the MacTeX list have smoothed out all the installation details, or until I get a second box to mess with. At that point, I'll start using TexLive on that box. But that won't happen for a couple more weeks.

I would expect most things to work just fine though. Don't know about the documentation command, don't really use it myself. Though of course I don't really know anything about TexLive yet.
