I have just downloaded the 30 day version of TextMate, and really like many of its features. However, I do much of my coding in Fortran 77 (I know, not the most modern of languages). I've gotten quite used to AquaMacs formatting/aligned features and now hope to find the same features in TextMate.
But what I have found for f77 files is that it doesn't appear to align code correctly. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
Using opt-command-[ on various lines indents to column 1, doesn't put line continuation characters ('&') in the proper column (column 6), and doesn't know what to do at all with format statements.
Are there other f77 users out there with similar experiences? Any hints, tips, suggestions are welcome.
Or should I just abandon attempts to use TM with f77? It does seem that TM provides extensive support for 'punchcard fortran' (got to love the name), so I was initially very optimistic that basic features would be supported. But so far, I am disappointed.
I dont envy you having to work so much with f77, having worked alot with it myself. That being said, I've never found any great fortran- specific features in TM, but I still use it, even if its not perfect for Fortran. Perhaps the Fortran bundle could be spruced up? I'm not much of a scripter to do that.

I worked quite a bit on the fortran bundle but: - it was mainly to enhance the syntax highlighting - I do most of my work in Fortran 90, not 77
Highlighting for 'punchcard mode' should be complete though. What is the problem with format statements? Could your provide an example and point where TM gets it wrong please?
As for the autoindentation and formatting, I am not sure it is currently doable in TM, but I am no expert. It seems that indentations modes can be made specific per file type but that they are controlled by the user using the drop down menu at the bottom of the window, not by the language bundle. I would appreciate if anyone more knowledgeable could chime in.
By the way, where does opt-command-[ comes from and what is it supposed to do?
