hmm... do you know that there currently is cmd-G and cmd-shift-G for forward and backward searching? So setting this as an option would IMO just cause confusion.

I didn't mean a real option, but just a toggle or button in the search window. I can understand that the shortcut is also useful, but it's not the first place I would look...
