[CHANGED] The right-pointing folding arrow is another color to
make it visually distinct from the up/down arrows.
Waayyyyyy to heavy, this needs to be much more subtle! That eye- piercing orange got to go!
Here is how most of my window look now (yes, I usually have most everything folded):

This is a great change - the visual distinction is very useful. I actually like the orange colour.

I strongly disagree.

I preferred it in the grey.

Wow. The new orange closed things are way hideous IMHO. I went ahead and finally got around to creating my own for my "Leopard TextMate Theme Dark" works in Tiger

(This is only a dmg full of images and nib files. This isn't going to hurt you. To undo the changes, just download textmate again.)
Ok, you guys got me started. Didn't I warn you not to do that?!
subtleGradient Leopard TextMate Theme Dark 2!!! Now with 89.3% more awesomeness!

Can I be a bit slow and ask how you install it? All other themes I added had one file and you just double click. I have done a bit of a search and can't find too much info on installing themes...
It looks really good too, thanks!
Cheers

Did you download it? If not, then upon downloading you'll see it's self-explanatory.

Thanks for your reply Michael.
I did download it. That's the problem as when I open this up I get load of PNG folders and a folder that says "images go here". There don't seem to be any installation instructions in that DMG file.
As I say, other color themes I have downloaded are just a single file that I double click and it installs itself, I may be a bit daft here but I can't see what to do with this?!
Cheers

this isn't actually a TextMate Theme, it's a bunch of images a interface builder files that overwrite the ones inside your TextMate application. To install them, just drag all the images into the folder named "images go here" and then drag all the nibs into the folder that says "nibs go here" and be sure to overwrite the existing files.
Once you do that just restart textmate to see the changes.

Thanks Thomas, done that, now it all makes sense :)
That looks really cool actually, my textmate interface looks a lot nicer. Thanks!
I was looking at the color theme on this page, thinking that was what you were referring to! http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1238/1034281011_8c821097db_o.png
Well, anyway, now I understand, so thanks for your help!

That's "Brilliance Dull" and it's in the themes list inside TextMate. Just open up your preferences, select "Fonts & Colors" and select "Brilliance Dull" from the list. Then enjoy the awesomeness!

Since I had renamed my TextMate application, the aliases on the disk image of course didn't work. ;) Getting Info on the aliases showed me where they needed to go, however.

Beware of renaming Apple apps btw. System updates assume things are where they are usually installed. thomas Aylott — subtleGradient — CrazyEgg — bundleForge
