I have the same setup as you do, Rails 2.0.2, Rake 0.8.1 and RakeMate r6193 and it works fine. A colleague has the same setup on his mac and he gets the error you do. Go figure...

I'm also having the same problem, same versions, but I'm still using Tiger, not Leopard.
