I got used to being able to write short documents in Markdown, preview and then print to PDF. However, this seems to be broken now. I can preview fine, but printing to PDF (or opening in preview) causes Textmate to crash. Is this a bug, or something I’ve done wrong?
Thanks
João
Hi,
the same issue here using TM 2.0-beta.11.17.
It seems related to the markdown bundle (https://github.com/textmate/markdown.tmbundle). Printing the preview via e.g. the Multi Markdown bundle goes OK.

Seems to be fixed in TM 2.0-beta.12 nightly-build (press ⌥ during clicking on "Check Now" in Software update)

It was fixed in the bundles so you don’t have to switch to nightly builds (or update TM at all).

This is caused by a WebKit bug, the CSS has now been updated to not trigger the issue, so printing should be safe again, no action required on your part (unless you disabled bundle updates).

Thank you. Something has changed indeed but unfortunately now I can’t see the Markdown bundle on the menus, even though it’s in the Bundles directory and appears in the setting window. I’ve tried deleting all Application Support files and folders to start afresh but this doesn’t help.
I’ve also reinstalled textmate and although I get a nice helpful message at the top asking if I want to install support for markdown, the bundle remains unavailable when I click yes. So now I can’t even install the Markdown bundle!

Can you check if you have a `Markdown.tmbundle` under `~/Library/Application Support/Avian/Bundles`?
To restore everything to defaults, follow these steps:
https://github.com/textmate/textmate/wiki/Reverting-To-Defaults
Your issue sounds like the same as this, but unless the bundle was deleted from the bundle editor, I do not know what causes it: http://lists.macromates.com/textmate/2016-August/039765.html
And I don’t think we have had this issue reported prior to Eric Hsu’s mail.
Restoring everything to defaults fixed it. Thank you.
