Is it possible to move selection "word left/right" as opposed to just "column left/right" and "line up/down?" This is something I do often.
Is it possible to move selection "word left/right"
When pressing left/right, also press option. This is actually an OS X thing, and should work everywhere in OS X.

Hmmm, that doesn't work for me. If I have a word selected, and want to move it to the left of a word beside it -- pressing Cmd+Ctrl+Arrow moves it one column (space) at a time. If I add the option key to the mix, the cursor becomes a "crosshair" and the Navigation menu flashes, but nothing happens. (Of course Cmd+Option+Arrow moves one to the next tab).
Can others check this? I want to make sure I don't have a conflict with some prefs or 3rd party app.

Whoops, I missed what you were actually asking. Sorry, I thought you meant change selection, not move.

It's not currently possible. I think I sort of have used up all the modifier keys together with arrow keys ;)
Control-shift-command is free, but was supposed to be use to move the current tab. And moving selection word units probably should have the option qualifier. Control-option-command is used to scroll the display. This could be changed to the former though... of course with a key bindins editor it wouldn't matter that there are more functions to choose from than available key combinations.

I, personally, would need to move selection WAY more than moving tabs. Additionally, dragging tabs around seems more natural -- but it would.
What about Cmd+Ctrl+Arrow for moving tabs? Is that used?

Just wanted to make sure this is on the radar.
Is this something other TM users would use/need/like?
