Oh well, I almost exclusively use only the left {shift,ctrl,cmd} modifier keys. That's why I wouldn't consider it worse. But that's only my case, of course, and in the same manner, I consider that in time, I could possibly end up using the right modifier keys. No big deal I suppose

It's actually possibly worse -- though more consistent -- for those using a US layout. In that case < is shift + comma and > is shift + period. Thus with the same fist trampling situation in either case...
