Hi,
have you considered installing a web-based bug-tracking system (bugzilla/RT/gnats/???) so users can submit bug reports and requests for enhancements? It is much easier to track changes this way.

If you do, please not Bugzilla; it's a nightmare for normal users. We're using Mantis [1] in our company and find it to be not horrible, which, of open source software, I consider a compliment. Never heard of RT or gnats so I can't offer an opinion on those.
I had the usual problem with .htaccess not showing up. And even if I'd add it manually ("Add existing files..."), it would disappear next time I switched back to TextMate.
I was tinkering and tinkering with the file pattern in the preferences pane, but nothing I did seemed to have any effect.
Then I opened the .tmproj file with an editor, and saw that it had some different file patters inside it, probably left over from the old days, and those were (a) overriding what was set in my preferences pane, and (b) no longer available to be edited through the UI (or at least I didn't find them until now, when I decided to post this). I changed them to reflect the file pattern I wanted. (I also tried deleting them, but that didn't seem to help.)
So other people experiencing this problem, that's something to look for.
Question for Allan: Is this on purpose? It seems very confusing that there's a preferences pane setting that doesn't have any effect. Also, the "Show information" menu item only seems to be available for "top level" items, i.e. folders that have been manually added. It would be nice with some info on the prefs pane saying what these will or will not affect, i.e. only new directories added, or some such.
G'night.

Yes, Sune even did install Mantis on the server -- but for me it's currently just a lot of extra complexity, and I think also that most bug tracking systems are a turn-off for the user.
There currently is the wiki for more persistent tracking and then this mailing list. With regard to following the progress, december has been a little unusual in that it hasn't seen any betas after 1.0.2, but normally it takes less than a week for something to be implemented to show up in a beta, so an easy way to track the progress is just to enable beta version checks in the preferences :)
Just FYI, Trac is the current open source hotness:
If you're using subversion as your version control system, it's got some really tight integration with that.
