I have found over the past week+ (it could have been considerably longer but I suspect it was just the past week or so) I have had annoying problem occur where I can load a remote file using *rmate* and can edit it and even save it without complaint but the save operation apparently doesn't work. This is happening in an environment where I've used rmate successfully for some time and I don't think I've changed anything other than accepting the TM 2.0 updates.
Can anyone help?

On the server, try run ‘rmate -v «file»’. That will make ‘rmate’ verbose and may show potential problems. At a minimum, it should show if it receives the updated file from TextMate for saving.
Allan,
Thanks for the '-v' switch suggestion. It was indeed a permission problem (not on the file but the underlying directory) that was getting in the way. Problem now solved.
