I would say just use a Trigger in Quicksilver to do these same steps: http://docs.blacktree.com/quicksilver/triggers

Set it up once, and then use the key command you've chosen for the trigger.

Trigger are the best way you can choose. And you can choose "Current Selection" as item for the first pane...

Second one is to use Ctrl+Esc to open QS _with_ current selection (i.e. folder) 1. Select folder in Finder and hit Ctrl+Esc 2. Type "ow" for "Open With..." and tab 3. Type "tex" for "TextMate" and hit Enter

It is sometimes hard to add "Open With…" to a trigger. What you need to do is _copy_ this action from the normal QS interface before you try and create the trigger, and paste it into the trigger's action.
