The weird thing is that you don't have to re-save the document in another application to get it "re-init". Just save within TextMate, move to another application, switch back and blam! Sometimes it moves to the caret, but sometimes it moves to the top and looses bookmarks. I noticed that the drawser refreshes, too.

In a related occurrence, since TM doesn't yet support services, I'll open a file from a project in TM, double-click it to open the same file in SubEthaEdit (the default), insert the service output, save, and return to TM. Upon return, TM updates the file with the change, but if I had scrolled down into the document, TM refreshes and returns me to the top of the document.
It would be nice if, on refresh, TM would remember the location that I was at prior to the external save.

I can reproduce it 100% of the time.
Open a project. (does not occur on a single file). Pick a quite big file (several screens long). Go around the middle of the file Edit it. Save. Move to another application. Switch back to TextMate. -> the scroll moves and centers around the caret.

It seems that sometimes TextMate will think a folder reference is changed significantly, and it will refresh loaded files.
This may also be why the undo stack is lost (as someone reported).
Currently though, I have no idea when and how this happens (as I haven't been able to reproduce it myself yet).
