It has been requested before, and is on the to-do list. Though I am not sure why you think you need hard wrap for emails. You may want to search for “format flowed” to find our last thread about hard/soft wrap in emails.
This does not suits my correspondants MUAs. And it breaks citations in many MUAs or so-called MUAs (beginning with OE which is unable to cite format flowed without revertig to QP and breaking citations formatting).
