PS. I'm missing the TextMate1's bundle management UI. I was super easy to add sub menus etc... Is there any future plan to fix it? or improve it? copying UUID and adding to plist manually is a bit hard :)
I would very much like to do some improvements in this area! But it always seems to be pushed down on my list, a combination of only rarely interacting with the bundle editor myself (though probably because it feels so half baked), and not having a clear vision of how I would like to see it (re)done.
I imagine though if I’m avoiding the bundle editor myself, lots of users are doing the same, which is really a shame, because they forego so many neat customizations that could be done.
On the latter point, and to elaborate on the above, my thinking is that I shouldn’t create “a thing to edit bundles” but rather bring the ways in which TextMate can be customized, into the places where these things are relevant.
Of course we will still need a command editor with properties, etc. (and maybe a “Run” / “Dry Run” kind of action), but one giant hierarchical list is probably not the way to organize it. E.g. editing a language grammar should just be “Edit…” (or “New…”) from the langauge grammar selector, all the scope specific settings need their own editor that can be called up from the current document, to see effective settings, etc. (like what can be done with ⌃⌘T), etc.
