Also, if you wish to do this on a more ad-hoc basis, there is a handy built-in template you can use. Just:
- Copy the contents of the file you wish to duplicate
- Go to File -> New From Template -> Text -> From Clipboard
I would open the file i want to copy and "Save as" new file
