That's exactly it, it seems purpose designed for debugging, all the extra fields for specifying line number, file name and so on, I think its very clever, getting the same result in the html option is a lot more effort, plus there's the keyboard navigation thing. I think its one of your best inventions, is there any harm in leaving it in?
Just for the records: I can't remove it as long as it's used by existing commands, and there's no “wrapper” or similar that provide the exact same functionality (in the HTML window).
It's deprecated because I want new stuff to use the HTML output option (as the “separate window” is rather flawed, and not subject for any short-term improvements).
