Has this happened for mysterious reasons only to me or with the 10.15.1 update this phenomenon no longer occurs? Then it was indeed an Apple bug and there is no need for a code workaround (I think the programmers of Acorn mentioned that they had to add a workaround to their app because they had refresh problems under Catalina)
