1. Try create a project e.g. in your home folder. Does that work?
2. Do you see badges in the file browser (e.g. for modified files)?
3. Has SCM Status support ever worked for you?
4. Try add `scmStatus = enable` in your project’s .tm_properties file, does that make it work? You may want to relaunch, as there is a lot of caching going on wrt. SCM status.
