I am sorry to disappoint you, but I did not change the project drawer scrolling behavior.

So I opted for the “make it as wide as the physical space” and enable truncation of item titles, since this was aesthetically the nicest thing to do.
Something funny happens here, then. It *seems* that if I have a deep enough directory structure open up in my drawer -- and have the drawer wide enough to see the full name of a file buried somewhere (maybe +7 folders deep) -- something might be getting 'stuck' and setting the width of the pane to be quite wide. I can then narrow the drawer to be very thin and no file names get truncated anymore, but the horizontal scrolling ability allows me to scroll left/right and look at the particular part (column) of the project drawer I please with out it mangling the names.
I was going to post some pictures, but I guess that'd be a little silly .. I guess it's just a fluke anyhow.
